Letting go is so hard to do especially when it comes to your children's belongings. This weekend is our annual community yard sale. I don't do yard sales, however this year I am participating. We have our house up for sale so now is a good time to get rid of the clutter in our basement. The only problem is the clutter happens to be my sons items that he has outgrown. We have a million toys downstairs and as much as I would love to hang on to them just because they have memories or that Id love to hang on to them in hopes that we may have another little one its time to let go. Its time to clean up the basement for moving purposes, to sell the items at a discount to someone who actually needs them, and to use the money for future items...such as more toys. For some reason its really hard to let the toys go. I also have 7 large plastic bins full of clothes but that's another issue to tackle later. I feel bad for sneaking the toys past my son so that we can sell them. He doesn't play with them anymore and they are infant toys, but you know how it goes when your children see a toy that was put away.....they suddenly want to play with it no matter how small it is to them now.
I must be the toy monster to my son, the woman who takes his toys he no longer plays with, gives them to someone else and doesn't care that he may want to play or atleast look at them someday. I will make it up to you little boy, monster trucks are in your future, out with the weeble wobbles and in with the cool trucks.
