On Sunday I decided to paint the door to the pantry with chalk paint. Man I love that stuff, its addictive. I was searching the house for more stuff that I could paint with it. Here is what it looks like.
Wow somebody wrote Mom rocks ahhh how sweet. Prestons handwriting is incredible for a 5 year old.
On a completely different not this is the current state of my dining room table. I dont even know where to begin. The large white laundry basket is usually in the back of my SUV and it has baseball and football stuff in it. The black bag is our pool bag, there are mickey ears, scrapbook stuff, American Cancer society stuff, an envelope that needs to be mailed, for all I know our dog could be under all that stuff. Good thing no one goes in there and we dont have company coming over any time soon .

I miss vacation

I jumped right into things after vacation because I really didnt have a choice, as much as I would like to just lay in bed all day and do nothing things gotta get done. Saturday evening after returning I had tons of laundry to do ( I had all the laundry done since we had washer/dryer in our suite however it was a downpour on the way back so our suitcases sat in the rain while waiting to be loaded on the plane and everything was soaking wet) on Sunday the yard needed to be mowed, errands needed to be done and grocery shopping couldnt wait any longer. Monday included early swim lessons for little man, then I worked on Monday, and I had 2 meetings Monday night one for football and the other for ACS to get things started for Relay for life for 2011. I just finished up Relay for 2010 its hard to believe its time to jump right in for next year. I did get a month off so thats nice. Today was early swim lessons, I had even more errands to run including getting Prestons school supply for kindergarten, wow they need a lot of stuff. I was shocked that crayons were not on the list that would of been my first guess. Tomorrow you guessed it swim lessons then I am working till 3:30. Preston has football camp from 6-8 pm every night starting on Thursday and going through the first week in August. I hope he likes it since this is his first time at it.

Back from Disney

Were Back...thats right the Bolin's are back in town. We had a great week at Disney. You name , we did it. We had dinner with Mickey and other characters, Preston and Trinity rode every roller coaster that they could including Disney Mount Everest which goes backwards at times, Preston got picked to go through Jedi Training school and got to go up on stage and fight Darth Vader (he was in heaven ), went on a safari ride at Animal Kingdom, saw Lion King show, Nemo show, and watched parades and fireworks. We had a great time.

Its Saturday and that means we are taking off tomorrow for Disney. Im excited for Trinity as this will be her first time on a plane. We will be at Disney for the week and the kids are so excited, I dont think they get the full extent of what it all includes and we have a few surprises for them as well such as dinner with the characters on Tuesday night. Im excited to see their faces and how big their eyes will get as we venture out into all of the parks. Preston has already said that he is going to ask Mickey Mouse for his address so he can invite him to our house for a playdate.
On Friday evening our AC froze up solid so we have someone coming out today to double check it just in case its low on freon. Of all things to break right before we leave.uhh. And the ironic thing is that a friend on mine had the same issue the other day where their AC went out so Friday morning I took her our window unit AC to use and wouldnt you know it ours went out on Friday night. What are the odds? Luckily it was night and we opened up the windows.
I have lots of packing to do and Im trying to leave the house clean so when we get back there isnt a lot to do other than laundry. Im sure I will have lots of pictures to post upon our return. Love to you all and I will give Mickey a big hug from all of you.

Yard sale and craigslist finds.

These are my newest purchases that I got both of them dirtcheap.

This is my new mirror that is huge. I bought this at a yard sale for $3. Ive always wanted a floor length mirror in my bedroom . Notice I didnt even bother wiping off the sweat smudges from carrying it up the steps, Nice sweat marks huh.
This is the new cage we bought Jazz, we found it on craigslist for a ridiculous cheap amount of money. I put Preston beside it so you can see just how big his new house is. I think Jazz, Preston and Trinity could fit in this, not that we lock up our kids in cages....atleast not yet.

Mohawk

Since its been raining here the past few days we didnt get a chance to go to the pool however we did get some errands done including getting Prestons hair cut. He got a mohawk and he asked if he could get an arrow cut into his mohawk like Avatar but there was no chance that was going to happen. Atleast he looks like he is ready for football to start.

Football..Woot Woot!!!

Today I signed Preston up for football. Preston and I both went into town hall to get him signed up and the gentleman asked for our info so he could look it up on the computer ( If you have played any sport in Canal Winchester you are already in the computer system ). The gentleman had a puzzled look and said that Prestons b-day wasnt in the system. I informed him that when we did tball this summer that Preston was part of the age exception to the rule and that it wouldnt allow me to enter his date because I had to show his birth certificate at tball signups. The gentleman said to me "Oh well this is no problem cause our football cut off is June 1st and clearly he missed the cutoff since he is 6". Ummm Preston just turned 5 on June 8th was my response and the guy said "No way". I asked if it was parent or coach discretion for Preston to play since he missed the cutoff by 8 days and he said both. I informed him I was ok for him to play and he stood up from behind the desk and said "Oh yeah me too he can certainly play".

I guess Preston is playing football now......I will say this once and only for my husband and then these words will never ever come out of my mouth again for as long as I live....but maybe someday Preston will play football for the Buckeyes! Now I must go wash my mouth out with soap.

Party day

Party day Friday.

Preston was invited to a birthday party for 2 of his friends on Friday and it was a drop off party....meaning I could leave....sweet!!! Preston had a blast at the party they had a large waterslide outside to play on and they ate lunch and had cupcakes. I arrived back at party after lunch and cupcakes and hung out with the other moms and my friends who had come back to pick up their kids and we ended up sitting around and talking for a few hours while the kids continued to play on a bouncy house downstairs. It was so much fun for both of us. Preston did so well by himself and the birthday boys mom commented on how sweet, nice and good Preston was. Ahhh I love hearing that about my child.

In the evening we had a community party here in the subdivision with food, bouncy houses, slides, and music. The kids had a good time and we ate some good food and saw lots of neighbors. It was a nice get together with everyone. By the time we returned about 9pm the kids were worn out and it only took a few minutes for them to fall asleep. All in all it was a great day with lots of friends, neighbors and fun.

For the love....

There is nothing like opening up the silverware drawer only to find a dirty plastic Wendy's spoon that was earlier used to eat a frosty laying on top of all the clean spoons and forks. Its a toss up as to whether it was the boy or hubby. Right now they both look guilty with chocolate around their lips.
Today during swim lessons Preston swam the entire length of the deep end twice. He swam in the lap lanes and didnt need any assistance from his teacher and since he couldnt touch bottom he had to swim the entire time only resting once when he touched the wall to go back. Look out Micheal Phelps here comes Preston only he doesnt smoke pot. Atleast not yet I will let you know how his college years go.

Summer lists

Things I want to do before summer is over:
  1. Redo the top fabric piece the went over our outdoor swing. The wind got a hold of the original one and ripped it to shreds.
  2. Paint the pantry door with chalkboard paint
  3. Frame the guest bathroom mirror downstairs
  4. Trinity is ready to get the old toys out of her room and make room for an art desk so Im on the lookout for an art desk for her or easel.
  5. Restain the kitchen table darker
  6. Stop making lists
  7. Stop doing so much and enjoy the summer
  8. Eat more ice cream

Buckeye Lake

On Sunday we spent some time with friends at their lake house on Buckeye Lake and to say that we had a blast would be an understatement. Preston has been talking about it all day and had so much fun tubing for the 1st time. Im so excited that he got the opportunity to do it and he jumped right on it with no problem, he wasnt scared even a little bit and thought it was the best day ever. It was fun times for all.

4th of July

Neither Lowel nor I had to work on Friday so we spent the day at the pool with the kids, friends, sister in law and niece. Trinity had a sleepover Friday night and our plans for today is the pool,
grilling out and then fireworks. Happy 4th of July everyone. We even made red rice krispy treats.

Booted off the diving board...only my son

How does one get kicked off the diving board...hmm lets ask Preston that question cause today he got booted. He decided to take his sweet time getting to the ladder and as he was about 3 strokes away from the ladder he decided to look back to see if his friend was jumping off the diving board and because it took him so long to reach the side a lifeguard jumped in after him. Yes he got the long burst of whistle followed by everyone stopping to look to see who was being saved only to realize that by the time the lifeguard reached Preston he was already touching the side and Preston thought it was funny and started laughing. Everyone but me of course. I did say to the lifeguard that I wouldnt just stand there and watch my son drown since I was standing at the top of the ladder watching him and since his head didnt go under water that he was probably ok but thanks for jumping in anyways. Im pretty sure there was a sarcastic look on my face. I give it often. So lets recap, when Preston was 2 he pooped in the pool and it came out of his swimmy diaper and they asked us to leave for the day, when he was 4 he threw up in the pool and again we left for the day, and today he has been banned from the diving board. Wow this boy is on a role, Im pretty sure the GAC (the pool) hates us.
A husband is someone who , after taking the trash out, gives the impression that he just cleaned the whole house.

Can I get an Amen cause this describes my husband to a T, God love him though cause there are some men out there that dont even take the trash out.
