What was your New Years Resolutions?

  • Mine was to lose weight, losing baby weight when you arent up to working out yet due to some issues sucks....it just plain sucks.  I need to get this weight off.

  • Organize...not even organizing as much as shit ridder.  I need to get rid of a lot of shit we have in the house that hasnt been used in years.

  • We need to get our Will, finances, and paperwork ready should something happen to one or both of us.  I decided to also write letters to my kids and family that will take care of the boys if we were both to pass away.   Do you know how hard it is to write a letter to your sons telling them goodbye and what you expect them to do with their lives.  IT IS TORTURE AND THE HARDEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE but I feel its necessary and they will need them should the time come.   Life is too short not to be prepared for the worst so I want to make things as easy on the kids and my sister who will take care of them as much as possible.

  • Spend less time worrying about things and enjoy the everyday with my kids, so what if my hair is a mess, Im still in my pjs sometimes in the afternoon,  Im having a great time raising our kids and I need to stop worrying about my job that I had to let go, stop worrying about the small stuff and just enjoy this, its a gift from my husband who is completely fine with me staying home and not working.  I can work anytime, I can work when the are in high school.....for now I just want to enjoy them.

  • Be a better wife.  Spend some alone time with the hubster as well.  Its hard when the baby is asleep right there beside us but we need our time as well.  Ive also noticed this about our marriage that going to church has worked for us.  Not just spiritually but we are better parents and spouses for it.  It calms the house.  Its also good for your sex life.  I know sex and church dont really go hand and hand but it makes your marriage better which therefore makes everything else better...such as sex!
Monday I go and speak to the doctor about the surgery I am having to correct some of the issues I have had since hemorrhaging.  I am unable to leave the house several days a month due to all of the bleeding and Im in pain so hopefully this will correct the issues.  They will scar my insides as well so we will have to be done having babies.   If this option doesnt work then it may be a hysterectomy so lets hope this procedure works.  Ive heard that the procedure can be painful but lets face it...nothing can compare to the pain I have already been through after birth.  I will only have to be on bedrest for a few days and on minor pain medicine so I say bring it on, fix the problem, its a step closer to having things back to normal for me.  High maintenance I have said it before and I will say it again that lady parts are high maintenance.

Christmas was great!  I spent the week with my mom visiting us and then my sister.   We took the kids bowling, we shopped, we laughed, we cried, we played lots of Dance Party 4 and laughed some more.  It was a wonderful week.  Lots of cooking on Christmas Day, the house was filled with family and the kids got a lot for Christmas.....maybe its not a lot and its more like big stuff so it looks like a  lot.  Pearson got a lot of ride on, push toys for when he is ready.  That poor kid has 2 teeth in and is up several times a night.  Which means mommy is only getting about 4 hrs of sleep so Im very tired lately.  Preston got Sklyanders which he loves and Trinity got a lot of clothes which is what she wanted.
For New Years my TN family went back home so we just needed some down time so we spent the night in and just curled up and watched a movie.  None of us made it till midnight for the 3rd year in a row.  Im just going to assume that a ball still drops on that day.
We hope your Christmas and New Years was good to you as well.  Now its time to clean, de clutter and find a place for all of those toys.
